Installation & Maintenance
The SPLIT flash collar can be fit around an existing flagpole shaft and rests on the top of the exposed portion of the foundation sleeve (which is installed with a slight protrusion above grade to prevent water runoff into the foundation sleeve). The collar hides this protrusion to give a nice clean and color-matched finish to the base of your flagpole. These Split Flash Collars are a great way to change/repair your flash collar without having to remove your pole from the ground sleeve.
Pro tip: If your flagpole base and flash collar are on the turf/grass, raise the flash collar up the pole and install a small mulch bed or other landscaped area around the pole. This area should be just large enough to keep the lawnmowers clear of your flash collar.
